Dimitra Papadopoulou

Biography

Dimitra Papadopoulou was born in Limassol, Cyprus and is the founder and managing partner of the law firm D. Papadopoulou & Associates LLC.

Dimitra obtained her Degree in Law (LL.B) with Honors from the University of Warwick and has a Master Degree in Maritime Law (LL.M) from the University of Nottingham. She is admitted to the Cyprus Bar since 2009.

Areas of Practice

Dimitra’s main areas of practice are Corporate and Commercial Law, Contract Law, Maritime Law, Admiralty and Shipping, Banking and Finance, Intellectual Property Law and Trademarks, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Insolvency Law, Trusts and Estate Planning.

She specializes on corporate and commercial law matters, corporate restructurings, merger and acquisition work, joint ventures, investment management transactions, set up and administration of investment funds, company dissolutions and winding up and private equity transactions.

Dimitra has considerable experience in the creation and administration of Cyprus international trusts, local and cross-border mergers, transfers of registered seat of local and foreign entities to and from Cyprus, acquisition of licenses to operate as payment institutions and e-money institutions from Cyprus regulatory authorities, set up and licensing of specialized companies, vessel registrations, advising and mediating on matters concerning restructuring of facilities and bank loans.
